Last minute shopping in the UK

| I've left myself just Christmas eve to buy a sat-nav so I'm restricted
to the high street. I'm in the UK. Can anybody offer any good advice
for good last minute deals if I'm looking to spend just over =A3100 for
a good basic sat-nav that won't be out of date too soon.

I'd look for a TomTom. They have just updated the maps and offer a
"Latest map" update if your unit has just missed the new version
