Accessing Tom Tom site
|
|
|
| Got a new TomTom One for Christmas. (Actually, I bought it for my wife,
but a good guesser might foretell that I'll be the one using it.)
Seems to work well (at least in demo mode).
I've tried to access the TomTom site to download the full manual with no
success. Tried several times yesterday and again this morning
(Thursday, 12/27). My browser just waits and waits without it loading.
I'm guessing that millions and millions of people (grin) are trying out
their new TomTom's, but I don't know.
Anybody else able to access the TomTom site?

| Hi Rich:
Yeah...
me too. I tried on & off yesterday without much luck. I was able to
get in (to the main index page) after a "l o n g" wait, but couldn’t
move through out the website.
I suspect that it’s the onslaught of new TomTom owners with a common
goal (kind of like lemmings) must visit website ;)
I would give it a couple of days to quiet down a bit.
Good Luck

Had similar problems with update a few months ago. TT said to simply
delete the "ephem" folder and then update. It's re-created and all was well
