Add Mouse to Omnitech GPS?

I seem to have pooched the stylus input on my Omnitech GPS ( it happened
when I cleaned the screen) and am wondering if a mouse could be used instead
(the Omnitech has a USB port and runs WinCE in which Control Panel shows a
mouse icon so maybe the driver(s) is present). If I were to procure an
adapter so the mouse USB connector could be connected to the Omnitech small
type connector, would that work (or, maybe the Omnitech USB is unpowered and
would not supply the 5V for the mouse)?

Any help would be appreciated...........
