| Hello everyone that I used to know back 3-4 yrs ago in these two
newsgroup
My Axim X5 died after 4 yrs and Dell.ca has Mypal 636 on sale at Can
$360. I got that instead of another Axim.
Just had delivery of it and installed iGuidance 3. The pda is a lot
slimmer than my brick like X5. Its layout is really cool.
Installation of Destinator is, I would say, crap. Did not even
bother to install it in full as I am used to Routis and iGuidance .
The pda is sort of underpower and it freeze up everything trying to do
very very minor multitasking. And I mean very minor one say checking
up on batt power and putting that into the syn cradle (syning ).
Forget about using the media player, or wirelss or bluetooth pairing
in addition to operating the GPS. Overall I am impressed.
I used to post in these two NG a lot 3 yrs ago. It seems I can still
recognise some of the names here.
Back then, gps was a novelty. I can still remember Garmin2160 was
costing like $1,000 - a big drop alrealdy.
Now you can laugh at it. Period.
Looking back I would say I was right about the fact that computer tech
will prevail over that tech of the gps.
Cell phone or mini tablet pc will be so common and so mundane that
nobody really pay too much attention to it.
