We have upgraded from Navigator 5 to 6, and are having problems with
direction. we are outputting NMEA strings GPGGA, GPRMC & GPVTC through
a com port (after converting SIRF data from a bespoke GPS receiver) to
tom tom.

navigator 5 works

navigator 6 works ok if you are heading north, but if you deviate the
navigaton starts jumping around - such as driving backwards down the
road.

does navigator 6 require additional NMEA strings to those above? could
this be the cause or could there be another explanation?

thanks
ian.
