| My grandson is soon to be deployed to Iraq and wants a handheld GPS. Are
there any with maps for Iraq? Any advice is appreciated.

| The Garmin GPSmap 60Cx would be a good choice.
A Mexican compay has maps for Iraq but they are very expensive;

As mentioned in other posts, 3rd party maps of Iraq exist for Garmin receivers.
There are some good testimonials from soldiers on the Garmin web site,
particularly concerning the Rino 110 and 120 and eTrex Vista units.
The military gear site http://kitup.typepad.com/kitup/ has shedloads of great
ideas for military kit which is indispensable but not officially issued.
Surprisingly, no GPS equipment is mentioned, but if you are ever in need of a
prezzie to send to your loved one in a combat zone, stop here first.
