Hi,

I am trying to do some GPS testing w/ my Nokia e70.

I have a Cellink BT-7000 receiver which seems to get its position fine
when I turn it on and do not connect to it from my phone (or my
laptop). As soon as I connect to the device it drops its satellite
link and never gets out of search mode.

Does anyone have any idea why this would be the case? I'm using
several small apps (TouristMap, etc) and one that comes w/ the Symbian
S60 (the position and navigation app). Thinking my laptop might
provide better diagnostics, I've tested from it w/ Franson GPSGate and
Google Maps w/ GPS Tracker. While I'm getting a good connection to the
device and seeing valid data from it, the device never gets a
position. Is it just a bad receiver?

Also, I went to the Nokia store here in NYC today to try their LD-1W
but a sales person told me that the device can ONLY be used w/
Wayfinder or Route66. This is untrue, right? I couldn't bear to find
out the hard way so I walked out - but I've seen some posts about
people using that receiver w/ their own apps.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
