Author options for 'trashed' unlock code?

Big screw up. We just received our new GPSMap 60cx and our new
Mapsource City Navigator 8. The Navigator disk comes in one of those
human-proof plastic "clamshell" packages. My husband was so eager that
he slit open the package enough to get the disk out, then threw away
the package. Only later we learned that the unlock code was on a
coupon hidden inside the packaging, between the two label sheets
inside that evil plastic. Didn't say anything on that label sheet
about anything being inside -- he thought it was a single one-sided
sheet. So we don't have the coupon and have no way of unlocking the
maps. All this on a Friday night, when Garmin support is only open M-
F days, and their email support says they'll respond in 5-7 days.
We're totally legal here -- have the receipts for the GPS and the
maps, have the serial numbers, just no coupon code or way to get the
unlock code. Anybody know if there is any other way to proceed, short
of waiting and calling Garmin on Monday?

Impatient, but appreciative,

SC

If it were me, I'd go through the trash until I found the code. I'd
say that is also the "quickest" way to get the thing unlocked, and
(unfortunately) also the most likely to succeed.
