| My apologies for hijacking this newsgroup for a notice to my existing users,
but as most MapMan users use the product as freeware I don't have a
definitive circulation list of users.
I have just posted a new version of MapMan (2.10.7) on my web site
(http://www.mapman.org.uk) but the new version uses a completely different
model for handling routes compared with previous versions.
With the new version, a route can be created in exactly the same way as any
other line object like a road or a river, by first clicking on the new route
tool. A route can also be edited in the same way as other map items, by
right clicking. In previous versions, routes were constrained to comprise
existing waypoints only. This restriction no longer applies in 2.10.7.
If download the new version and you have been used to handling routes using
previous versions of MapMan, please read the help topic on creating routes
before proceeding.
The new version also offers the ability to create and/or edit track
segments.
Regards
Keith
