TomTom GO 910 - Cancel Navigation??
|
|
| Patrick, Whit 2007-05-23, 12:33 pm |
| Okay, I'm the proud owner of a TomTom Go 910.
Once I have selected a route to navigate, how do I cancel navigation if I
elect not to continue?
I have put an address into the 910 to navigate to, but I don't want to go
there. How do I cancel it?
Also, how do I bring up the main menu from the navigation screen?
Thanks!!

Tap Screen, Select Next Page twice and then 'Clear route'.
If you don't see the 'Clear route' option, tap screen, select 'Change
preferences', select next page twice then select ' Show ALL menu
options' and try again.

One of the menu items is 'cancel route'

Tap anywhere on the screen
It is possible to rearrange the menu items so the ones you use most
appear on the early menu screens

| Thanks for pointing me to the obvious!! I must have been enjoying a senior
moment!
The software for rearranging the menus looks great. Unfortunately (for my
GPS... Fortunately for me) I use Macintosh computers. I don't have one of
the Intel models yet. I seem to be spending all of my money on kayks,
campers, and the occasional GPS!!
Thanks again for the help.

The method of changing the menus is only a substitute text file.
The text file can be constructed manually but other on-line resources
provide the graphical interface and generate the text file for you to
download.
Try
<http://www.skux.net/tomtom/menubuilder2/index.php#>
You have to click on the country flag near the top of the page to get
the menu items in English.
and some light background reading......

Touch the screen, then touch the > icon to see successive screens, until
you see the Clear Route icon and touch that?

Clear the route as above?

I'm not trying to give you a hard time, that is the way it worked with
Tom Tom Navigator 5, I think it is the same on the newer models.
