Just wanted to find out if this USB Mains Power Supply from

http://www.jaycar.com.au/productVie...ID=MP3450&CATID

or

http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.s...duct/View/M9936

Will work ok with the TOMTOM ONE XL as a cheap alternative to the expensive
origional home charger?

Don't know - but you can get a regulated switchable power unit with a set of
adapters from the likes of Comet, Curry or B&Q that can do the job for the
TomTom Go 300.

Make sure the one you get is regulated. The one I bought switches 1.5 and
3, volts at 100mA; 4.5 and 6 volts at 600mA; 7.5 volts at 700mA; 9 volts at
600mA; 12 volts at 500mA. I use the 4.5 volt setting for the TomTom Go 300.
The adapter pack can be set for either positive or negative tips. I expect
you could get a single voltage regulated supply too but I did not require
such a thing.
