Looking for a car vent mount for a Navman GPS 3000 sleeve with iPAQ H3970
that can easily be totally removed from the car vent when not in uses i.e.
leaving no sign of mount or Navman in car.

I have found some by doing search some on eBay, but they appear to attach to
the Navman sleeve and then to the mount and I'm not sure how easily the
whole thing comes off the car vents. I do have a cradle that takes the
Navman GPS 3000 but have no way of attaching this to the mounts other than
with a ty-rap so no quick removal. Any suggestions for a suitable vent mount
and where to get one would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

MP

One word, RAM Mounts:

http://www.ram-mount.com/pda_mount/.../ramb121co2.htm

You'll never regret spending the extra money (over the prices of the
grossly inferior OEM mounts) of getting a RAM mount. They are modular
with the cradles fitted to specific devices but the rest of the pieces
can be swapped around and used with other RAM bits and pieces to use
almost anything almost anywhere. And they are sold and safe mounts and
quick detachable for secure storage.

The link above is a snapshot, dig into it and do the research, you'll
find the pieces you need.

Thanks for the suggestions still pondering exactly what I need; I have
couple of mounts that take the Navman with iPAQ 300 but need a vent clip or
clips that I can attach to one of the mounts that will be easy to move from
car to car.

There was a basic solution supplied with some of the Navman sleeves.
It consisted of a small 'button' that was affixed to the rear of the
sleeve with adhesive tape and a vent mount that had a slot into which
the button fitted.

Yoy may find this solution is still available, I've seen it for mobile
phones. It wasn't great though.

Thanks for suggestion in response to my post, I finally opted for one of
this type found on eBay (only bidder so got it cheap) and it works fine with
a cradle I already had for my Navman. It is so small it can be left in place
and is hardly noticeable but I can remove it totally from the vent in
minutes if I wish although its a bit fiddly at first.
