I lost the SA2003 CDs in my recent relocation. I still have the
Earthmate GPS USB device and an installation working on my laptop. Iam
getting a new laptop soon and need the old laptop returned. How do I
transfer the software to the new laptop without the Software
reinstalled from CD.

Appreciate any idea as long as I can use my GPS USB device (remember
this is more or less 2003~4 model)?

TIA.

Did you try Delorm customer service or technical support?

How many Gb of data are on the old laptop? The only way I know that you can
transfer ALL the data is to boot the laptop using DOS (Windoze keeps about
23 files open and they are not transferred while Windoze is operating). If
you don't know what DOS is then you are going to have to seek help from
someone who does. There is an excellent program that works under DOS -
Norton's Ghost that will do what you want i.e. save the whole partition
data to CD/DVD/Ramdisk but you have to know what you are doing. Also if
you want to use the USB port under DOS you have to load extra drivers
during the DOS boot process.

If you want more info email me at nrmadden@yahoo.com.
