Author Does Tom Tom Plus Work w/ PPC's?

Tom Tom 6 on my iPAQ connects to Plus services when connected to my PC while
"Home" is running, but I can't figure out how to connect via cell phone.

From reading different message boards it appears TT Plus only connects via
wireless data through Wi-Fi or if one has a TT hardware device.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi Steve.

My iPAQ 2210 with TT6 connect fine to TT-Plus via Wi-Fi.

I haven't tried via cell phone but I believe it should be possible with
a bluetooth connection to a cell phone with access to the Internet.

Thanks for the reply but I don't see how it is possible via cellphone
because I've gone through the TT6 app countless times and I don't see any
place to access any connections. Am I missing something?

Hi Steve.

The following sentenses taken from the TT6 manual:

"TomTom PLUS is a collection of services that keep you informed and
entertained
while you're on the road.
You can subscribe to a range of extras and download them either directly
to your
NAVIGATOR or to your computer and then transfer them to your NAVIGATOR.
Tips
.. New services are being added regularly. Use TomTom HOME or visit
www.tomtom.com/plus to find out what's available.
.. To download TomTom PLUS services to your NAVIGATOR, you need a
mobile phone with Bluetooth and a wireless data connection (GPRS,
EDGE, UMTS or CDMA). Your mobile phone company may charge you for
using a wireless data connection.
Don't forget that you can download many TomTom PLUS services to your
computer without needing to set up a wireless data connection.
.. Not all services are available in all countries. For more information,
visit
www.tomtom.com/plus".

Greetings
Vagn.
