Someone gave me an old Magellan Roadmate 360, but unfortunately it
wasn't well cared for and they lost everything they had that was
associated with it (doc's, CD's, etc).

I went to Magellan's website, and found it to be almost useless other
than being able to access a user guide on how to use the unit itself.

Can someone give me a quick run down on how I should use the unit
beyond what buttons to push? I'm specifically interested in knowing
what I can do if I hook it up to a PC via the USB port.

The unit has the map SD card in it, but I'm having trouble finding
some addresses, which makes me think (perhaps wrongly) that I can
download additional map information into the card.

I've been searching P2P for software and data and found a lot of
"magellan" stuff, but I'm not sure what I can use and what is made for
other magellan gps units.

Magellan Explorer? Mapsend? Do any of these things apply?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Not that old. I bought one for my parents last year.
Works fine

Nothing that I know of. Manual is a bit vague.
Upgradability is about nil.
A map update might be available, at a price, but yours might be current.

Don't think you will have much luck there.
It should work just like it is, given power and a mount of some sort.
