Author new user of Magellan, help please?

I have the magellan Roadmate 300. It will accept an address and show
the itinerary.
Then, as it begins to give directions, all that shows is a yellow
arrow on a white screen. whereas previously it would show lines for
streets.
Any suggestions, anyone?

Try using the - key to back the zoom out. You may have the zoom set all the
way. You may also be in a new area where the streets aren't in the database
yet. Try driving to older established streets and see if there is a
difference.

Thank you so much for your response. I will check that, though I don't
recall a zoom feature on this model. The same screen appeared on the
older established streets as well. Thanks again.

I also have the 300. It does have a zoom function. it's the 2
buttons on the left center. What he says could very well be what is
your trouble. Plus you do have to have the map of the area where you
are saved in your memory or on a memory card. Otherwise, all you have
is the basic US maps of the major highways, no detail.
