Garmin c340 v. Megellan 3410 , Nextar X3-T

| I am now using a Garmin c330, but wish to add the "Text-To-Speech" feature.
I like the Garmin so I think the c340 would be a good choice, but I am also
looking at the Megellan 3140, which is a little more expensive, but has some
interesting features.
And then last evening my wife pointed out a Staples ad for the Nextar X3-T
which has "Text-To-Speech" for $229.99. I could find no reviews on this unit
on the internet.
Your ideas and/or information? Thanks.

Text-to-Speech like Nuvi? it has some advantage and disadtange comparing
to StreetPilot.
- StreetPilot gives 4-6 warnings before next turn.
- Nuvi gives 2-3 long speech before next turn.
It's nice to hear the name of street, but sometime it's little too late by
the time I be able to read the street. May be it's ok with younger folk but
my eyes and reaction no longer as sharpest as used to so I may need be be
reminded more often (?) <bg>
