Loading City Navigator Europe to Garmin Nuvi 350

| Here is my dilemma:
I just acquired a Garmin Nuvi 350 from a friend. It did not come with
any software what so ever, only a AC charger and a DC Charger.
I'm planning to go to Europe and have already for the City Navigator
Europe on my PC. I also downloaded the latest Mapsource software from
Garmin, but when i go to install it, it says
"no previous mapsource version found, installation will abort".
So, does that mean that there is a standalone Mapsource software that
i need to get?
Even if i get that software, (or if there is something else that would
work?) how much difficult is it from there to load the City Navigator
Europe software to a SD card?
Any help will greatly be appreciated since we are heading out to
Europe in less than a week.
Thanks,

| The mapsource downloads are upgrades, not install packages. The install
comes when you purchase the software. Also your gps has to be unlocked to
the software so bootleg copies aren't usable. Go to Garmin's site and read
up on how to upgrade the gps.
