GPS - Freeway exits are missing on my Garmin

Freeway exits are missing on my Garmin

In "view map" mode I get all the "Street so & so ahead" when driving the
local streets -- when I get on the freeway all I get is the direction &
name of the freeway I'm on -- I get no " exit so and so ahead" like I
got when on the roads?

Wasup -- Is this normal for Navigators? My Garmin in an integrated unit
with my Kenwood DNX7100.
