Author 2720 heat threshold

I left my 2730 on the dash the other day in 95* heat while shopping.
Since then, it does not work right. Could the heat exposure be the
problem?

How much heat can it stand??

you don't say Fahrenheit or Centigrade. 95 F is below body temperature
and I would expect no problems. 95 C is almost boiling water temperature
and I would expect quite a few problems. If it was in the sun it
probably got quite a bit hotter and some of the plastic may have bent.
Also some components, display backlight for example generate a bit of
heat themselves and could easily fail when powered up if too hot
