| We will be travelling to Turkey in about 6 weeks and I am trying to find a
GPS device with detailed maps of turkey (esp Istambul). I can not find any
GPS system out there that has Turkish maps for sale. Could anyone please
point me in the right direction.
Thanks

| TomTom has maps available for Turkey
They are included with the Eastern European maps package. Which include
Turkey, The Czech Republic, Hungary, Greece, Slovakia, Russia, Baltic
States, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia &
Montenegro, Belarus, Moldavia, Ukraine, Macedonia and Albania, as well as
the major road network of Western Europe.

I heard rumors that the maps TomTom uses for Turkey are not quite
detailled nor accurate.
iGo/MioMap has detailled maps of Turkey (including Istanboul of course).

| Thanks,
I live in Australia and I have contacted the local Mio distributor. They do
not know of any maps for Turkey. Are they available from a web site?
Also is iGo and Mio the same company?

AFAIK it isn't.
I suggest you download the map from the internet, just to try it out.
Launch a Google Search for "iGo Turkey map megaupload" (without the
double quotes).
If it works, go find a store you can buy it.
