Have you tried the card in more than one unit?.
Sometimes they restrict the use to only one unit by encrypted keys!.
Maybe you ought to try it in another unit beofre someone buys it and finds
it doesn't work.

The Garmin mapping that comes on preloaded SD or microSD cards is
unlocked as received and will work in any compatible unit. No further
unlocking is needed on those.
The mapping on those Garmin branded, preloaded, cards is locked to the
serial number embedded in the memory card. If the mapping is copied to
another card the serial number will be incorrect and the mapping will
not work. That is how Garmin keeps people from making illegal copies of
the cards.

Thank you for supplying that answer. Furthermore, I do know without doubt
that the card will work. Mine is the second unit it's been in. No problems.
