Magellan "Upgrade"offer
|
|
|
| Magellan is offering a "special deal" of $189.00 for a Maestro 3100 to
registered owners of RoadMate 300 & 500 series. Magellan no longer supports
either of those models and I'm wondering if the 3100 is a newer model but
one that they're trying to clear out before they stop supporting it too.
Anyone have any comments? Are the maps on the 3100 recent or are they
upgradeable? TIA!

The Maestro line was just introduced in the Spring of this year. I don't
think they're clearing them out yet.

| Thanks for the reply. Now I guess my question is whether the 3100 is the
best buy for that kind of money or would I be better off going with
something else? I'm just looking for a basic in-car navigation with
up-to-date maps. I was happy enough with the RoadMate 500 but I don't like
using two+ year old maps. TIA!
