I just received my C230 and I am just getting used to it. I like it so
far, only using it to go to a local Best Buy and back. It found the
satellite within a second or two. I purposely went off-course and it
recalculated correctly.

My son and I did notice that although the txt-to-speech worked fine, it did
have a little difficulty pronouncing street names. One mispronunciation
was for Paper Mill Road, which sounded like a garbled Peppermill Rd. But
otherwise, no problems. I really like the way the unit changes color scheme
at night.

I am looking for third party accessories, like a case and a possible
alternate to the in-car charger that would charge the unit indoors via an
electrical outlet.

You can charge it from a USB port on your compute using a USB
cable(not supplied-typeA(male) to 5-pin Mini-B(male) plugged into a
USB port, the GPS turned OFF before you plug it into the port, and it
will charge it. Otherwise, if you're in the USA, Circuit City sells a
AC charger for it for $16.00(online purchase only, not available in
stores)

Staples sells a nice hard shell case for $20.00. Perfect fit. Its a
Navigon 3.5" and most 3.5" gps units will fit in it. If you're
interested go to www.staples.com and in the search box put:
10000200 and you can see it. This case is also available at other
places and online stores but most online stores are out of stock.
I called my local staples and asked if they have Item 716085 in stock.
It was so I went and got one.

You can charge the C230 indoors with a mini USB cable. (If the unit is
off, it charges faster; plug in the USB with the unit on, it goes
into Data Transfer mode). As a wall charger, I found that my old
Motorola Razr charger, which also has a mini USB connector, works
great!
