Sell my Tomtom GO 910 for a Garmin Nuvi 660?
|

| I see Tigergps.com has the Garmin 660 on sale for $399 till tomorrow.
Is it a better unit than my Go 910?
There seems to be way more discussion on Garmin's products.

|
| all depends on what you want to do. If you need the extra features of
the 660 then go for it.
I own about 10 garmins between Aviation, Marine and auto so I just
happened to be biased but if the Tom does what you need it to... why
switch?

| One of the nice things I see is the 660 is a much thinner unit. Guess
due to the hard drive in the 910.
And like I said there is way more talk on forums for the Garmins.
Does the 660 have the ability to dim the screen automatically?
The 910 has a sensor for this.

How the F dense are you?
If you can't get answers from the manufacturer OR the retailer (which is the
case all too often), then it is a definite plus to have an active user
community where you CAN get help. And the more active users, the better.

or
More active users = more problems/bugs with the equipment.

| What a kind language you use to express yourself. You must be a highly

| Thank you Ken and who ever invented forums.
Ah hell of a lot of good honest reviews and info on them.

| My friend has a Go 910 and I have a Garmin 660 - I like them both. The
Garmin also has a auto dimmer, and is much thinner ,which makes it
easier to store and hold - even fits in my shirt pocket.
$399 is a good price.
