TomTom One XL - Auto Power on?

| So the TomTom One XL has a setting to trun off when power is lost. But
I don't see any setting to turn on automatically when power is
restored. It's nice to have the GPS turn off when I turn off my
ignition, but is there a way to have the XL turn back on when I start
my car?
Didn't see anything in the manual...

It's frustratingly not an option but we're pressing TomTom to add it,
especially as auto off is available!

It's easy to add auto off because the application is running, can see a loss
of power and shut itself down.
In order for it to work the other way around you'll need to have something
running either in software or hardware all the time waiting to see if there
is power. You can do it easily via hardware but a software change isn't
likely.

Can't be that hard. Almost every new computer has it. And a GPS I
recently beta tested had it. Dunno if that feature made it to the
final version...

HP PDAs do it; shouldn't be difficult to trigger.
