| Just got one of these but strange happenings with earphone socket when
trying to play MP3's - hear through internal speaker OK but when plug
earphones in nothing comes thro headphones & speaker doesn't switch
etc I've tried other earphones but same problem. I don't think its a
faulty socket cos when it first boots up I can hear voice on unit thro
the phones advising of bluetooth status etc.
What am I missing here or should I take the thing back
Thanks for any help Cheers

| With the new Navcore 7 I think you have to select the output i.e. internal
speaker, FM transmitter, etc.
Try searching through your menus.

As has been said, you need to set the output in 'Change preferences ->
Speaker preferences' and select Line-out.
I'm not sure but the socket is described as 'Line-out', I ws under the
imprssion this was different to a headphone output?

| I have the 920 which I think is basically the same, Previous advice is
correct after software switching in the menu's the output is really a phono
output meant for an amplifier like car radio auxiliary or home stereo, Some
sound may be heard but the impedance will be incorrect and the sound quality
if at all will not be good.
