Garmin nuvi750 Acquiring Satellites Time

| I have the Garmin nuvi750 and itis taking between 10 and 25 minutes to
Acquire a Stellites!
I have upgrade to version 2.6, but still have the same problem.
Anyone have a solution?

Yes: patience. =8-)
Serious, each GPS needs a minimum of 30 seconds of *uniterrupted*
reception of each satellite before it can use it. When you turn the
GPS on and start driving right away, making turns which block
satellites or under trees which block satellites, the clock starts all
over each time.
So, best is to turn on the GPS before starting to move. I make a habit
of turning on the GPS, then putting the cellphone in its cradle, then
fastening the safety belt, starting the car and start moving. Thats
enough most of the time.

That is a loooooong time. You might consider a reset, see

up antenna is failing...

| Hi Jack, this is not a normal lock on time and is not acceptable. It
should lock on within a minute or so most times. I'd suggest resetting the
unit to see if that fixes it. If it don't contact GARMIN for warranty
exchange.
