I've just bought a version of tomtom one europe off ebay and it wasn't
what I was expecting. I had a tomtom one v3 for just the UK and I
wanted to buy the european model and I assumed it would be exactly the
same but with a bigger memory to hold all the european maps.

However:

a) It has the european maps on a card slot which is removeable
b) It has bluetooth
c) The version of tomtom home that loads is 1.6 - when I upgraded it
there were connection problems.

which version do I have and how does it compare to the tomtom one v3
that I was expecting? (positives bluetooth, but negatives??)

Would appreciate any help.

It seems like you have a One v2 (because of the sd card slot). This is
good! Your 3rd Edition unit is 'crippled'. You can't expand the memory for
larger maps and the itinerary function is removed.

These problems are solved with the v2. So be happy!

(The theory is that the One offered too many features, which kept people
from buying the pricier models. So TomTom created the One 3rd Edition,
which is stripped down compared to the v2.)
