| I have a copy of City Nav. Australia 2008 I pulled off the web and can
view it in mapsource with the code supplied, however I would like to
trial the software on my GPS unit.
Is there a keygen or similar that I can use to unlock the maps on my
GPS?
Thanks.

It's sad that there is no TRAIl KEY, so you either
1. Try it on computer which is pretty much what the GPS may see (except
fewer detail), and there should be no difference than other older version to
need trail.
2. Now, if you ask for warez then it's another story, and you do not need to
say trail.

OK, I want some Warez so I can use my pirated copy I torrented off the
web.
The Garmin Unlock Generator v1.3 I have just found doesn;t unlock the
2008 version.
Any ideas?

Actually the Jetmouse crack WILL unlock anything that Garmin currently
makes in CD based maps. You are probably using it incorrectly.
Get the map ID from your registry and covert it from Hex to decimal
(don't forget to reverse the bite order) and then try entering the map
ID manually. If you are using the list that came with the Jetmouse
crack there are some mistakes in the Map ID's, best to check it
against the registry value. You should also probably delete the map
code unlock that you are using locally on the computer to view the
maps in Mapsource. That way, it will think the maps have never been
unlocked.
Cheers,
Rip

OK I'll have another go, though I'm pretty sure I followed the
instructions correctly.
Is there a more formal instruction set? The one I have doesn't tell me
to access the Reg or convert Hex Codes. It's been a long while since I
completed a Dip in IT.
The Jetmouse s/ware I have contains no "list", just a Keygen.

See, sometime it's much easier to spell thing out instead of forcing other
to make wild guess <bg>
I have the US 2008 version came pre-loaded with my Nuvi 680, and Garmin
sent me one on DVD so I don't need crack. But I read someone here posted
the instruction how to use the KeyGen by finding out the HEX #'s then
convert to ASCII code or something like that.
I don't know about the AU version, but I read few people mentioned they
got theirs work (using the KeyGen), and you may check with Peer-2-Peer see
if you can find any solution there. Couple time I checked for POI and ran
into quite afew of Garmin maps for many different countries.

I saw someone posted the list here at least TWICE and once on other group.
Sorry I don't have the list to post it for you, but you may be able to
GOOGLE for it.
Or Google carries lot of TEXT groups (including this one) and it has much
longer retention then regular ISP.

| Here are the codes I have for City Nav Australia 2008. One is for the
NT version. If your going to a garmin handheld GPS use the non-NT
version. I do not have a copy of City Nav Australia 2008 so I can not
verify that these are correct. If they don't work I will tell you
were to look in the registry for the hex data.
MapID: 271 City Navigator Australia 2008
MapID: 272 City Navigator Australia NT 2008
Let me know if it works.
Good Luck,
Rip
