Another SP2720 Question
|
|
|
| I just bought a Garmin 2720, my first GPS. I need to find locations
by latitude and longitude. How do I enter that into the unit. A
friend of mine has a 2610 and he can do it by holding down the page
button which activates a Mark Waypoint Function. I don't see that in
the 2720. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Looking at the 2720 manual at Garmin's site, this is what I would try.
From page 6 in the manual "My Locations"
I would save a place (any place) in My Locations. I would then select that
place for editing, changing the latitude and longitude and anything else to
make it a meaningful location.
I have a 2610, so I am unable to test my method. If the 2720 doesn't have a
'must have' feature and you haven't had it too long, you might want to
consider exchanging it for a 2620 or a 2610 if you like playing with maps
and routes on your computer.
Let us know how you make out...

| That's what I have been doing, but its seems that there would be a
better way.
