Replacing SPIII ???
|
|
|
| I frankly don't keep up with all the GPS systems. My Street Pilot III
died and I'd like to replace it with a new Garmin unit. This is
confusing. I would most of all like to retain the ability to use my PC
to 'refine' routes, etc. Would this still be a 2610?

Apparently the 27x0 series is either shipping with City Nav CDs or you
can request one from Garmin and they'll send one to you. That
eliminates most of the complaints against the 27x0 line (though not
all of them).

| The Garmin 2720 is currently the top of the line unit for vehicle
navigation and yes you can still create your own routes on the computer and
load into the 2720. The 2610 is a less expensive option.

But has better features IMHO. I've seen the 2720 and see no reason to
exchange my 2610 for it.
