Garmin StreetPilot 2610 touchscreen problem

| Can anyone make any suggestions about this? I have a Garmin StreetPilot
2610. Recently the touchscreen has become intermittently non-functional. I
then have to use the remote as the only way to control the functions.
Is there anything that can be done to fix or resolve this? Thanks for any
input!

| I had a problem with my 2610 a while back. I had to touch the screen
numerous times to get it to input my commands. I could not even
calibrate the unit because it would not accept the touches. I called
Garmin and the tech told me to use a ball point pen with a metal cap to
touch the screen when calibrating the unit. Do not use the writing end
of the pen, use the end with the cap, and be careful not to scratch the
screen. See if this helps. It helped mine.

Same problem with mine. The touch screen works but is way out of
whack. Cannot calibrate it also. If I lose my remote i'm in trouble.
