Laptop and 2720 ..Pre plan my routes ?

I'm looking to buy the Garmin 2720 as I travel around the US.

I'd like to pre-plan my trips on my laptop then download the routes to
the 2720 ... can I do this ?

Right now I have the StreetPilot C330 and I find it limiting on routes
and waypoints ..
its a nice unit just too basic ... so I'm returning it ... and I'm
thinking about the 2720..

Any input ??

Supposedly the current 2720's are shipping with a City Navigator map
CD, so yes. If yours does not, supposedly you can email Garmin Tech
Support and request one.
