Author What software to get for 60CS

I'm getting a 60CS for Christmas, and I'll be using it for geocaching.
What's the best software to get? I'll want the best detailed street
mapping, but auto routing is not real important (I dont think). Price
isn't that important, but it's always nice to save a few bucks.

Thanks!

My guess would be that once you start using the auto-routing feature
you'll find that it's very worthwhile. Assuming you're in the US or
Canada, you could use either Garmin's MetroGuide-NA or their
CitySelect-NA maps. The road/street detail is identical as are the
Points-Of-Interest, but CitySelect will also give you auto-routing
while MetroGuide won't. MetroGuide is about $20 - $30 cheaper, but I'd
strongly recommend you get the slightly more expensive CitySelect-NA
instead.

For maps:
MapSource Metroguide (cheaper, no auto-routing on gps)
MapSource CitySelect (less cheap, auto routing)

For geocaching I recommend GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife)

I agree with Peter. Spend the little bit extra and get City Select. If
you travel at all, or live in a big city, I think you'll really like
it.

Thanks for the replies. I'll take your advice and spend the extra $$.

I'm hoping this will take the place of the laptop and the Delorme
receiver/Street Atlas that we're using now. SA is a fine product, and
the big screen is great, but the laptop is a bit of a hassle for my
wife to handle.

Thanks again!

John,
As a geocacher, you will find the autorouting a great time and effort saver
to get you to the cache vicinity/parking area after which you switch to
off-road navigation to get you into the geocaching screen on the GPSr and
finally, to get you to the actual cache site. Once you have auto-navigation
you will be very glad you spent the money.

By the way. I got a 60CS and love it.

I had an EMap from the past. The 60CS is way better.
