Hi

I have a Garmin etrex Vista C with the USB Port.

Is there a way to send the handheld screen to a

laptop screen in real time?

Will the garmin map software do this ?

Thanks Fred

Go to Garmens web site and download a copy of N-Drive. Will do what you
want it to.

Never heard of N-Drive and I don't think there's anything that will
actually do exactly what Fred asked for.

Garmin's downloadable nRoute program:
http://www.garmin.com/support/colle...ct=999-99999-10
can be combined with one of their MapSource programs to give you a
laptop navigation program, but the display is independent of the
connected GPS receiver. Frankly this seems far preferable to me since
it can be optimized for the larger laptop screen and greater processor
power/memory. Best is to use an auto-routing mapset like CitySelect in
which case nRoute will give you spoken directions and automatic
reroutes if you take a detour or get off course.

Not in real time but there is a Garmin utility that allows you to download
screenshots of your GPS receiver display. XImage -

Sorry there isn't a way to do that that I know of.

No but if you have the Garmin software you can use n'Route to do
navigation on the laptop but it will not show the GPS screen.
