Why is it that if I save a track in my 276c (thus reducing the number
of points to 700) and then use it on tracback, I get a blue pointer
whick points to the next track point (which is as I like it to be), but
if I save the active log and then split it into 700 point lengths on
the pc, the pointer does not appear on tracback?

What does the gps do to the track points when it saves them as a saved
track?

As an experiment, I reloaded 700 points that had been taken from an
active log (and which did not give a blue pointer on tracback) and
loaded them back into an active log. Only 64 ended up in the active
log in the gps. Very strange.
