Hi Guys/Girls,

I've been tasked to retrieve on the fly GPS coordinate information
from a GPS10 bluetooth device. My logical thinking reckons that I
should be able to take a terminal comm port program, i.e. HyperLink,
connect to the the COMx port and should see some form of response?

I've tried connecting at various speeds, and even had a COMM port
sniffer running, but I still cannot figure out why I cant retrieve data
on a normal comm port. It seems the sniffer shows a connect, sends the
$... command, and the disconnects, then immediately reconnects, and
then starts retrieving data. I dont quite understand, is there anybody
that has managed to retrieve data via the comm port or perhaps knows
how to help me out?

What you need is to understand the appropriate protocol Garmin sused to
transfer data back and forth betwen the Garmin device and the host.
