3200 without maps?

| Just starting out, I bought the iQue 3200 used. Apparently the maps
are deleted, for when I go to that section, there is only a grid with
GPS coordinates. Aren't they supposed to come with roadmaps? I mean,
the whole thing with iQue is to be a navigator, right? Everything else
seems to work fine, but I can't find pre-loaded maps.

the Garmin web site states that it includes a City Select CD, not a preload.
You should have gotten a CD with it.

| I used to have an Ique 3200, and it only requires a Basemap which
available for free download on the Garmin website. If I remember
correctly, you can't find the map in the Ique 3200 downloads, though.
You have to look in the Ique 3600 section. The Basemaps are there. 2
versions are available. A low res version which fits in the internal
memory of the 3200, and an enhanced version which requires a SD Card.
You choose the one you want. Basemaps only cover things like major
roads, state lines, ect. You'll want to get the detailed maps. These
are not free, but you can get down to street level detail with these
maps. Don't waste your time with the older versions. Get the
CitySelect v7 maps for the best detail, and most accurate feature set.
