Garmin c320 Version?
|
|
| James1549 2005-12-25, 2:48 am |
| I keep reading about Garmin Software updates for the c320. I assume it
is the software that runs the unit, not the mapping software.
How can I tell what version of Garmin I have installed to know if I
need an update? Where do I check?
Thanks, James

Firmware version should be in the Setup menu. But I'm not familiar with
the C320.
There are three types of update:
1) C320 firmware
2) Mapsource software which loads into your PC
3) The maps (e.g., City Select)
They can be found here:

The unlock page is here:

| another question:
With the 128 meg SD card that was included with my c320, I can only
load about 3 or 4 states depending on how big they are. I can purchase
an additional 512 SD card for around $30/shipped.
I assume this will allow me to load additional states for vacationing?
I didn't see anything in the owners manual about limited sizes of SD
cards.

I'd ask Garmin or make sure the manual does not limit.
But, if it can be done, I would get a 1 GB SD card!

| Do not wurry about the max limit of a SD card. They sell the C320 in Europe
with 2 GB Sd cards. If bigger would be available it would probabaly work as
well.
