Question on Garmin mapping software....I am considering a purchase of a
Garmin GPSMAP 60C and am interested in the best mapping software to
purchase with it. I already own Metro Guide...

For auto routing on the 60C, it appears "City Select" is the suggested
software package for detailed road maps. On the Garmin web site when you
select compatible software "Metro Guide" is not one of the selections.

To auto route, is City Select the best selection? Will it auto route
with base maps? If so am I correct to assume the base map is less
accurate than the City Select?

Thanks!

Correct. MetroGuide will not autoroute on the GPS, only on the PC. It's
the product of choice for non-autorouting GPSrs. Since you have a 60C, City
Select is the way to go.

That would be an understatement.
