My Vista C started acting up this morning on my bike ride. Every time I hit
a bump, the unit would power off. Has anyone seen anything like this before
with one of their units?

Common.

Your batteries are loose.

Find some very thin packing foam and put a strip or two over the
batteries and close the case.

Some people wrap the batteries with a piece of paper to make the
circumference larger.

Foam is easier.

Take some extra foam on the trail. Easy to blow away when you change
batteries.

Good luck.
