| Hi NG,
I am thinking of buying a Garmin eTrex Legend, because it is a quite
cheap unit with good features. I wanna use it for hicking and walking -
most times with Topo maps I think.. So do you think that unit is good for
doing that unit fits my requirements?
Thanks in advance,
Martin

The Legend should work fine for you. It's a good, reliable unit, and
I've been happy with mine. It's actually overkill for me, because I
don't use the map capability at all. For mapping, I connect it to my
Palm which runs Mapopolis. But if you're only going to be in a small
area, then the Legend has enough memory to hold the maps you would need.
It's limited for much driving, but walking and hiking don't take very
large maps. I think you would be happy with it.
