Re: Best Source for Maps?
|

| I just purchased a used eTrex Legend and think it is great. Unfortunately,
the original owner kept the mapping software for his new GPS unit. Where
is the best (low price) source for maps? I am initially intereted in
getting MetroGuide North America (Garmin recommends this one over CS NA for
this model). Are there other similar maps from other vendors for less? If
not, what is the best source to get this software for the lowest price
(legally)?
TIA

Illegally you could download "Morpheus" and get a free copy of all the
Garmin maps and even the unlock codes. except the "Fishing Hot Spots" for
some reason.
Legally the cheapest place I've seen is www.walmart.com .
The Topo maps and Metroguide are each $82. Heres a link to Metroguide at
wallyworld.com.

Unlock codes are linked to a single GPS. They do unlock for the PC, but
will not allow upload.
