Best Portable-GPSMap60 or ETrex?

| I bought a GPS that I can use for car use but want one for outdoor use
as well. It will involve some use around water (mostly on lakes) but
as well I am interested in use for mostly walking/hiking. I definitely
want something rugged for the outdoors that is light as well. Here is
what I'm looking for:
What's important is that it has good battery strength.
I'd like the option as well though to be able to plug it into AC as
well as a cigarette lighter to charge it
Of course for uploading maps I'd like USB
As well, I'd like it to be able to tell altitude as well as have a
built in compass.
I don't need a color screen, that would be optional.
I'm mostly looking at the Garmin ETrex and GPSMap60. I have looked at
some Magellan systems and they are cheaper but don't seem as good. Any
ideas on either of these or another model I should look at?

The GPS60 (I have the 60CS) is a great unit. Works great in the car, on
the bike and on the trails. You need to puchase Garmin City Select to
get the auto-routing -
