I own a Garmin Quest which works fine with the provided antenna. But
sometimes I take it with me when flying as a passenger on a domestic flight
(yes, my airline allows the use of handheld gps when the fasten setbelt sign
is off). Coverage is then an issue, because I have to hold the Quest close
to the aircraft window in order to get stable reception. It would be much
easier if I had an external antenna that I could make stick to the windows
by using suction cups. The external antenna provided by Garmin for use with
the Quest is the GA27C, which costs around 100 $. So I wonder if anybody can
suggest a cheaper alternative thet will work with the Quest ?

Try Ebay - I bought a Gilsson and it works fine - make sure it has a MCX
connector and is suitable for the Quest. Check ebay seller rating before
bidding
Price for buy it now is 15.50 GB pounds. Mounting is not included.

Again, search Ebay.

I just got an external antenna for my 2610 for around $40.
