I was looking at the Garmin TOPO maps for my GPS yesterday and noticed that
it said on the box that it included snowmobile trails. Has anybody used the
TOPO maps for trail riding, snowmobile or ATV? The trails seem to change
from year to year in Wisconsin and cant imagine they could be to accurate.
Does anybody have any experience with them?

Thanks Mark

It depends. The US TOPO maps are based on the USGS 1:100k quad maps.
The National Park TOPO maps are based on the USGS 1:24k quads. If
those quads have trails for your area, then the corresponding Garmin
TOPO map will have them too.

Accuracy of those trails is another matter entirely. Many of the USGS quads
are rather old and very few of them are updated regularly.
