Free Maps for etrex Legend?

Is there anywhere I can get free maps for an etrex legend? I would
consider buying them as long as they are good quality but I would like to
see some from my area to see how many of the backroadsthey have.

If you go to Garmin's website you can use their viewer to see details
for any area. If you make your own, they will have as many backroads as
you put on them. Step-by-step instructions for making your own are
