Where did you buy the maps?
It is an important question, there are people selling the CD's but you
get those for free from Garmin, what costs is the unlock code that is
tied to your GPS and you have to get that unlock code from Garmin
(http://www.garmin.com/unlock)
If you did get the CD's from Garmin and bought an unlock code via the
site then you should have recieved an email with your unlock code (and
via the site you can get to your status page where your unlock codes
are listed too)
If all that seems correct to you but the unlock code still doesn't work
then your only option would be to contact Garmin support, I found them
quite responsive via email.
