Seems to be a Quest in black, with some jeep-specific POIs loaded.
With a higher memory capacity than the original Quest, but not as much as the
Quest2. Maybe just the european Quest in black.

I think we are going to start to see a lot of these specialized versions
of the stock units. Probably going to be a bit more difficult to keep
them all straight.

Yes. Sometimes I think that this launch frequency can not pay-out in the long run.

Time will tell I suppose but it will certainly make the market much more
confusing to the uninitiated and that cannot be a good thing. I thing
the model numbers should be derived from the base product so that the
user knows exactly what they are buying. Call it truth in advertizing.

I don't think it's going to be an issue; the new Quest clone will no
doubt be a Jeep-specific product, sold through those channels.

(Kinda like the BMW Navigators, sold only through BMW motorcycle
dealers.)

Have you noticed how many products Garmin launched recently besides the Quest
versions? As a matter of fact, they sometimes even miss to advertize them (as
the revised basic etrex).

I don't know any other manufacturer of consumer electronics whith such a
product spectrum.
